This collection of twelve papers surveys all of the available information on the significance of peptides in cerebral circulation and connects, for the first time, the novel finding of immunocytochemistry with receptor description and blood flow regulation. It also relates the advances that have been made in our knowledge of the organization of cerebrovascular innervation to current concepts of cerebrovascular regulation.
