Farbiges Frontispiz. 47 paginierte Seiten, Schnitt nicht ebarbiert,sehr isolierte Stockflecken. Mit 6 farbigen Tafeln von britischer Künstlerin Hannah Clarke Macgoun (1864-1913) .Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten.+++ Text in English. Undated, around 1910. A charming goat-leather-bound booklet with gilded front-title and title on spine, no wear-marks except for 2 tiny stains on top and bottom of spine, no chipping,! Gilded top-edge, ribbon-marker, frontispiece, 47 paginated pages with altogether 6 full-page water-colour illustrations by Hannah Clarke Macgoun (1864-1913) Very isolated foxing, all in all very good condition.++++"Rab and his Friends" (1859) is a short story by Scottish writer Dr John Brown. It was very popular in the 19th century and often considered John Brown's best, or at least most well known work. Even though short in length it was often published as a single volume with illustrations.The title character 'Rab' - the Lowland Scots form of 'Rob' - is "a huge mastiff" dog.
