The first Southern California volume. Copy is in a used condition. Back is lightened and rubbed, like the edges. There are views of the settlements of Los Angeles and San Diego, many lovely views of the deserts, valleys and mountains, and discussion and illustrations of the botany of the area, as well as many plates of fossil shells.
