Relatively few sets of the original 11-volume edition are now available, but in 1985 Dainihon reproduced The Orchid Album in one volume containing all the coloured illustrations and accompanying texts. Only a small number of these were produced, maiinly for libraries and institutions, so it is extremely rare to find one in private hands. In this edition, some of the plates are reproduced full-page, some two to a page, some four to a page, all reproduced to an extremely high standard, and all with title and artist details. As well as the 527 coloured plates, there is a full English Index, with detailed botanical descriptions in Japanese, plus 10 pages of prelims and introductions in both languages. As New throughout in finely bound in a red cloth decorative binding, gold-embossed on front cover and spine, supplied in an illustrated card box. A most handsome and highly desirable work;
